Job Description
Noble Foods is the biggest integrated egg business in Europe
with a large share of the UK retail shell egg market. It has five
divisions, and the shell division is the biggest, incorporating
both the egg production (farms) and packing; the other divisions
are Milling, Egg Products, Poultry and Desserts. Noble Foods
produces award winning products for the leading UK retailers with
brands including Happy Eggs and Gü puddings to name but a
few.
The business is seeking to recruit fresh talent in the form of a
Management trainee to join the Contract Supplier team. This team is
the link between the farmers who supply the business with eggs and
Noble Foods. The team provides support and advice to new and
long-standing suppliers, which may include farm standards,
technical support and bird welfare. The team is also responsible
for carrying out audits to ensure that Noble Foods high standard
are maintained at all times. In time this person will be managing
their own producer base.
This is a two-year graduate scheme, the successful applicant will
be based in Nottinghamshire for the first part of their training
where he/she will work with the team in data collection and
analysis, development of the dedicated supplier website, auditing
and also gain the knowledge required to support the produce base.
The initial training will include exposure to other parts of the
company with the aim of gaining an understanding of technical
matters and bird nutrition.
You must be expecting or have attained a 2:1 Honours degree and
ideally have an interest or some practical experience in
agriculture, not necessary poultry. You must also have achieved a
minimum of 280 UCAS points. You must be an energetic and highly
driven graduate, seeking to make a difference. Good communication
skills and the ability to build relationships with all levels are
essential.
