Job Description

This is a great opportunity for a Chef who has reached CPD or Jnr Sous Chef level looking to take their kitchen skills into a new business environment. Alternatively you may have recently completed a food related degree ie a Degree in Culinary Arts and looking for your first step into large scale food manufacturing.

You would be joining one of the most respected Food Groups in the UK who have sites throughout the UK and Internationally. Here you will be supported and trained in all aspects of Food Product Development, working from brief through to launch from a creative hands on perspective, producing samples and exploring new recipe combinations, and also be trained in the management of associated paperwork.

You would work alongside an experienced Development Chef dedicated to delivering to a key retail client. Further evolving existing ranges and developing new.This role will take you away from the usual split shifts associated with the Chef trade allowing you to achieve a work life balance whilst fully utilising your kitchen skills in a new business environment offering longer term broader career options.  

The role is based North London and is easily commutable of main road links. A car driver/owner is essential.

  • Do you have City & Guilds  food training  & or a food related degree, or a number of years (minimum 4), working in a main kitchen environment where preparation and deliver of food standards are high
  • Are you versatile and resourceful in your food creative thinking & problem solving-
  • Do you take an interest in food trends; restaurant and retail and are you up to date with the current and emerging markets?
  • Do you enjoy working as part of a team; receptive to others ideas yet able to engage and contribute sharing your own food experiences to produce great recipes that are cost effective?
