We have just been briefed with a Planning Manager role with a large-scale food manufacturing business in the South Lincolnshire area.

Job Description

This business is part of a multi-sited, multi-product food giant with sites all across the UK. They are innovation led and quality driven and are seen as market leaders in a number of areas. This specific site has an enviable position in the marketplace with a number of different factories producing a wide range of products for most of the major multiples.

This role will manage the Planning department. Key responsibilities will include:

• Demand management, finite scheduling & capacity management
• Managing labour & materials forecasting
• Maintenance of planning systems
• Ensure that 100% customer service is maintained at minimum cost
• Control waste levels by challenging operational performance to drive continuous improvement initiatives

These positions require someone who has previously worked in a planning function and is able to quickly handle and analyse data. You should have strong communication skills with a strong decision making capability. The ideal candidate will also have people supervisory/management experience
