<p>The Role:<br />Working for this market leading food manufacturer as Graduate Production Engineer, you will play a key part of the engineering team at this busy factory. You will work with many departments within the business including the design, assembly, operations and production teams.</p>
<p>You will report directly to the Operations Manager and use your production engineering, planning, scheduling and mechanical knowledge and experience to increase the efficiency of machinery and processes.</p>
<p>You will also work closely with the programming team to ensure all bespoke machines meet the demands of customers.</p>

<p>The Candidate:<br />As an engineering graduate you have a mechanical based background – an engineering or manufacturing related degree with some work experience in a manufacturing environment.</p>

<p>Are you a real foodie? Do you have a real passion for food and product creation? Do you love experimenting with recipes, evolving old ideas and developing new ones?</p>
<p>You will have to love everything about food - its versatility, colour and texture, and most of all appreciate its taste. If this sounds like you, then the Product Development scheme is what you are looking for. In addition, you will need to have a real commercial outlook to understand that the ideas that will excite customers have to be translated into commercially viable products, and that takes time and determination. </p>
<p>In this role you will be encouraged to channel and share your passion for food, ingredients and new ideas. Your innovation and creativity will be challenged and allowed to flourish. You will be working both on your own and in a team to develop new and innovative products, mixing, matching and evolving flavours across new food trends. You will work alongside experienced and talented chefs, and be given the chance to further develop skills outside a pure product development environment, providing you with an all round education of the complete Manufacturing process. This is your chance to influence what the nation will be eating in the months and years ahead!</p>

<p>Content: 2 x 12 month placements at different sites with differing product portfolios and customers. At the end of the two year placement the aim is for you to be reaching Senior Technologist or Product Manager level.</p>

<p>Salary: £23,000 - with three additional £500 payments made on joining, on completion of year 1 and at end of scheme, plus 2 weeks B&B or rent plus reasonable removal costs </p>

<p>A CIMA affiliated scheme with the aim of giving the relevant training and practical work experience to gain the CIMA qualification within 3 years. The scheme will offer candidates an in depth understanding of the way the business operates and give them the necessary skills and experience to allow them to reach a key management role within 5 years of joining.</p>
<p>This scheme is for people who are interested in seeing the real workings of a business. It encourages the candidates to look past the basic accountancy skills and get involved in the wider decision making in the business. This will involve interaction with all areas of the business, including manufacturing, commercial and marketing, supply chain and new product development. The pace is fast and as you will be involved in a large blue chip manufacturing business your impact could be significant. It is a fantastic experience!</p>

<p>Content: 3 ‘real jobs’ within different business units, giving experience in different product areas and scales of business. The roles will cover the core skills including, management accounting, financial accounting, risk management and process evaluation and redesign.</p>
