<p>Scheme Outline</p>
<p>Do you have a real interest in the more scientific and technical aspects of food manufacture? Do you enjoy working with and motivating other people?&nbsp;</p>
<p>A Technical role will have you working with New Product Development, Production, Purchasing and many other departments to ensure we develop and manufacture safe, high quality products.&nbsp; You will assist others in knowing what can and can&rsquo;t be done and agreeing solutions.&nbsp; You will need to be decisive, confident and firm in approach coupled with a desire to continue learning and developing your skills.</p>
<p>Criteria: You will be expecting, or will have attained, a technical, food related or science based degree, or have one or two years experience within a food manufacturing environment.</p>
<p>Duration: 2 years - commencing Summer 2011</p>
<p>Training: A programme of courses covering key technical competencies and management skills. These include: - <br />&middot;&nbsp;Introduction to Food Safety Legislation<br />&middot;&nbsp;HACCP &amp; Internal Auditing<br />&middot;&nbsp;Introduction to Food Labelling<br />&middot;&nbsp;Chilled Food Microbiology &amp; Raw Material Risk Assessment<br />&middot;&nbsp;Principles of Factory Hygiene<br />&middot;&nbsp;Management &amp; Leadership<br />In addition on the job training, coaching and mentoring</p>
<p>Content: Two 12 month work placements doing two different jobs with real responsibility in two different businesses.&nbsp; Placements are arranged so as to give as broad an exposure as possible to different products, processes and customers.&nbsp; Typical roles are Quality Auditor (where you will have responsibility for monitoring compliance with technical standards and helping your colleagues to resolve any issues identified), Process Technologist (involving the safe development of new product concepts into real products) or in Technical Systems (helping develop and maintain due diligence systems for the business). <br />After two years you will continue your career development with the potential to reach a Technical Manager role within 7-10 years.</p>
<p>Location: Placements could be at anyone of our sites in the UK.</p>
<p>Salary: &pound;23,000 - with three additional &pound;500 payments made on joining, on completion of year 1 and at end of scheme, plus 2 weeks B&amp;B or rent plus reasonable removal costs&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;</p>

<p>Scheme Outline</p>
<p>The HR AMS scheme provides the opportunity to gain practical work experience and relevant training including working towards the CIPD within 3 years.&nbsp;</p>
<p>The scheme will offer you the opportunity to undertake three placements in different business units providing an in depth understanding of HR within Bakkav&ouml;r.&nbsp; This will provide you with the necessary skills and experience to allow you to reach a key HR management role within 5 years of joining.<br />This scheme involves interaction with all areas of the business, including manufacturing, commercial, marketing, supply chain and product development.&nbsp; It is essential that you are business focussed and have strong interpersonal and influencing skills.&nbsp; The pace is fast and so excellent organisational skills are essential.&nbsp; As you will be involved in a large blue chip manufacturing business your impact will be visible and significant.&nbsp; It is a fantastic experience!</p>
<p>Criteria: You must be expecting or have attained at least a 2.1 Honours degree, ideally in business, human resource management or related degree or have relevant work experience.</p>
<p>Duration: 3 years - commencing Summer 2011</p>
<p>Training: Fully funded CIPD Professional Development Scheme; there are four modules to the PDS which on successful completion results in the Post Grad Diploma in Personnel and Development.&nbsp; The sponsored study is carried out through a flexible learning programme delivered by MOL who have several study centres throughout the UK which allows flexibility in location during the scheme.&nbsp; In addition you will receive structured on the job training and mentoring and be invited to attend skills training including management and leadership, presentation skills and psychometric testing</p>
<p>Content: 3 &lsquo;real jobs&rsquo; within different business units, giving experience in different product areas and business types.&nbsp; The roles will cover the core skills including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, employment law, pay management, development and succession.</p>

<p>Training: There will be various training courses over the 2 years of the scheme, such as presentation skills, Business simulations, leadership and management.&nbsp; In addition you will receive on the job training, coaching and mentoring</p>
<p>Content: Two twelve month placements doing real jobs, within different businesses, with a varied product portfolio and different customers.&nbsp; One of these roles will include responsibility for managing operators on a line, whilst one role could be Logistics, Planning or Engineering in focus.&nbsp; It is anticipated that after two years you will be doing a Supervisor or Section Manager role.&nbsp; You should reach a senior operations role within 7-10 years</p>

<p>Criteria: Graduates will have studied an Agricultural, Horticultural, Food Crop, Science or Manufacturing related degree.&nbsp; In addition a second European language would be an advantage. <br />&nbsp;<br />Duration: 2 years - commencing Summer 2011</p>
<p>Training: The programme consists of some formal training as well as on the job training, coaching and mentoring.&nbsp; Language training is also available if required to support placements and business need</p>
<p>Content: 4 six month work placements across the following disciplines: <br />&middot;&nbsp;Technical/Quality Control<br />&middot;&nbsp;Commercial/Marketing/NPD<br />&middot;&nbsp;Manufacturing/Growing<br />&middot;&nbsp;Buying/Procurement</p>
<p>Placements will either be in a job role e.g. Team Leader in Production, or project based.&nbsp; Example projects have included:<br />&middot;&nbsp;Researching the Supply Chain to Bakkav&ouml;r factories, reviewing new approaches and <br />&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; identifying potential cost savings.<br />&middot;&nbsp;Improving the raw material growing process</p>
